Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 Spied Ahead Of May 3 Launch: CLEAREST Pics Yet!

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400’s launch date is only a few days away and now the bike has been spied for the second time, with clearest images yet.

As seen from the spy shots, the upcoming Pulsar NS400’s overall design is quite similar to that of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. The split-seat setup, tail section and the split grab rail design look exactly like that of the NS200. The tank design along with the tank extensions also have the same design language as the NS200 but has been very subtly tweaked.

The radiator shrouds with a carbon fibre texture and brushed metal finish are similar to what we spotted when Bajaj Auto teased the upcoming bike a few days ago. Contrary to some of the reports online, it is quite evident from the spy shots that the upcoming Pulsar NS400 will be powered by the Dominar 400’s 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. In the Dominar, it makes 40PS and 35Nm. Expect the gearing to be different in the Pulsar NS400 in favour of acceleration. This should ensure that it lives up to the Pulsar badging. It is also expected to get ABS modes and traction control similar to that of the Bajaj Pulsar N250, which was updated recently.

The bike gets a gold-finished inverted fork and a gas-charged monoshock suspension setup, an underbelly exhaust. More importantly, it gets a box-section swingarm as opposed to the aluminium unit in the Dominar 400. This should keep the costs in check.

You could also see the adjustable brake and clutch levers, single-piece handlebar and red highlights on the black front fender. The tyres are likely to be a 110-section front and 150-section rear tyre setup, which is similar to that of the Bajaj Dominar 400. Also, the 17-inch alloy wheel design at both ends is similar to that of the NS200, and the tyre hugger is mounted on the left side in the NS400, as opposed to the right-side-mounted one in the NS200. Also, the headlight design (LED projector with DRLs) is the same as the one we spotted in the first round of spy shots.
