With ambitions to be recognised among the leading electric car manufacturers of the world, Hyundai and Kia have been pushing the envelope for some time now. The duo’s efforts reflect in their born electric portfolio. Newest of the bunch is Kia EV3 which is set to be globally unveiled on May 23rd, 2024. Ahead of that, Kia has officially released teasers to give a glimpse of its upcoming eSUV.

The popular Kia EV6 is all set get its first mid-life overhaul soon. Kia has released initial set of teasers ahead of the EV6 facelift’s global debut in the coming weeks. The EV6 facelift will debut around three years after the original car was revealed.
The Kia EV6 in this current generation will get a mid-life update and it has been teased for the first time. As is the case with its sister car, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the visual changes are going to be minimal while expecting some feature upgrades and more importantly a bigger battery pack.
Dinamikjaya Motors, a subsidiary of Bermaz Auto, today launched the Kia EV9, which will be offered in two fully-imported (CBU) variants, both in GT-Line guise and with the same powertrain. The difference is in the number of seats, with the more affordable option being a seven-seater priced at RM369,668 on-the-road without insurance. Meanwhile, the second variant of the brand’s fully electric flagship SUV comes with six seats and goes for RM374,668.
EV registrations in April were 6194, down five percent on the 6530 units for the same month last year, according to official industry figures released today.
I reviewed the new Honda Prologue EV back in February. Overall, I found it to be a perfectly fine electric CUV for the mass market, even if it did have a couple of issues. The 2024 Acura ZDX Type S, which is also built on GM’s Ultium platform, not only addresses the few issues with the Prologue but adds the luxury and performance buyers expect from the Acura brand. Hopefully, they’re expecting the $23,000 price bump too.
According to its interior dimension specs, the Kia EV9 electric SUV has 20.2 cubic-feet of cargo volume behind its raised third row. For comparison, the Kia Telluride has 21 cubic-feet, while most other three-row crossovers are in the 16-18 cubic-foot range. So, in theory, the EV9 should be able to carry more stuff behind its third row than most. It should also be awfully similar to the Telluride.
