From Access 125 to Hayabusa: This Japanese company has reached 80 lakh production mark

Suzuki Motorcycle India, the two-wheeler subsidiary of Japan's Suzuki Motor Corporation, today announced that it has reached the production milestone of 80 lakh units since starting its operations in February 2006.

Suzuki has a two-wheeler manufacturing unit in Kherki Dhaula, Gurugram. The Access 125 scooter was the company's maiden two-wheeler to be produced at the Kherki Dhaula unit.

While Suzuki achieved its first 40 lakh units production milestone in 13 years, the next 40 lakh units were manufactured in less than six years. The last 10 lakh units were added in just one year.

Suzuki currently manufactures multiple scooter and motorcycle models for the domestic as well as international markets. Its domestic line-up includes 125cc scooters like the Access 125, Avenis, Burgman Street and Burgman Street SX; 150-250cc motorcycles like the Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Gixxer 250, Gixxer 250 SF and V-Strom SX; and 800cc and above big bikes like V-Strom 800 DE, Katana and Hayabusa.

Suzuki is also furnishing special sales and service offers to its customers to celebrate the production milestone of 80 lakh units. There is a retail finance option at an 8% rate of interest. The company is offering a free eight-point check-up for all Suzuki two-wheelers. The exclusive offers can be availed at all Suzuki dealerships from April 20 till the end of the month.
