Tesla Cybertruck Reservation Holders Have A Chance To Skip The Long Waiting Period

A new post on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum has emerged concerning the new acceleration program for the delivery dates of the Tesla Cybertruck. As expected, customers lined up to get the electric pickup are not happy about it.

According to the thread by user rodx, customers can have their Cybertruck deliveries arrive within 45 days via referral credits worth 30,000. This is available exclusively to customers who have already pre-ordered a Cybertruck, particularly the Foundation Series and the Cyberbeast. It is limited to one Tesla account and is not transferable.

Referral credits are incentives to owners who successfully referred someone to buy a Tesla. Earners can also use the credits to shop for Tesla products in the referral program.

This acceleration program is sketchy because customers who opted for the Foundation Series were supposed to be a priority even without the referral credits. The Foundation Series has a whopping $120,000 price tag — around $20,000 more than the starting price of the Cyberbeast.

Based on the top-of-the-line Cyberbeast, the Foundation Series uses a tri-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup capable of generating 845 horsepower. This enables a zero to 60 mph sprint time of just 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph.

With a long list of pre-orders, buyers can expect to wait four to five years before taking delivery of their electric pickup. Members of the forum wrote their frustration over the program, with user Travis64 saying, «This is bs i will get my fs in 2025 now.» Another member that goes by the username Gigahorse shared, «Another way for people to skip the line, or take the hit of early adoption of the CT V 1.0»

The acceleration program is limited, but the exact number wasn't disclosed. However, the Texas-based EV maker said it would add more accelerated deliveries if eligible customers missed their chance.
