Red Koenigsegg Jesko Is Filled With Holiday Cheer

What Koenigsegg has managed to achieve since its formation 30 years ago is nothing short of incredible and with the track-focused Jesko Attack, it has created a car that isn’t just reminiscent of the brand’s first models but is loaded with a dizzying array of modern powertrain technologies.The story of Koenigsegg started back in 1994 when it was formed by Christian von Koenigsegg. It wasn’t until 2002 that its first model, the CC8S, was introduced and by 2006, the Swedish marque put the supercar and hypercar industries on notice with the CCX.

Koenigsegg then followed up the CCX range with the Agera in 2010 before officially replacing it with the Jesko in 2019.Read: All-Carbon Koenigsegg Jesko Attack With 24K Gold Accents Is A Feast For The EyesFound beneath the skin of the Jesko is a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 derived from that of the Agera but modified significantly and now using a 180-degree flat-plane crankshaft that saves weight and allows the engine to rev to 8,500 rpm. When running on normal pump gas, the Jesko’s V8 delivers 1,280 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque but these figures rise to 1,600 hp and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) with E85 biofuel.Koenigsegg is building just 125 examples of the Jesko and has just shown off one of its latest examples.

This particular Jesko is painted in a bright shade of red that suits a car as outlandish as this one perfectly.The car is also adorned in a host of striking carbon fiber accents, including the front splitter, canards, side skirts, the engine cover, and the massive rear wing. The owner has also specced it with silver wheels sitting over a set of red brake calipers.
