Nissan’s Daring Africa Navara Convoy Arrives in Mozambique After First Leg
Nissan’s mammoth Daring Africa trek from its Rosslyn plant in Pretoria to Cairo on the other side of the continent is officially underway arriving in Mozambique for its next media engagement.

The convoy, comprising five kitted-out Navara bakkies and a single X-Trail SUV has arrived at Mozambique’s capital city as part of the continental foray for broadening the appeal of the locally built models. Serving as a key part of an expansion into the rest of the African market, the convoy arrived at Nissan‘s Maputo Showroom before for dealer engagement ahead of local media getting an opportunity behind the wheel.
Nissan Commits to Massive Navara Expansion into Africa

In addition to dealership visits, selected media and key Nissan Mozambique fleet clients are going to be allowed to drive the Navara up the coast to Chidenguele and Inhassoro for an overlanding opportunity to understand what the model is capable of. This theme will continue in the several other countries the convoy will travel through in the coming weeks, which select media from each country given these unique opportunities to join the convoy in sections. The Daring Africa trek left Rosslyn, Nissan Africa’s proclaimed home of the Navara on Tuesday, March 26 on an eight-country odyssey that will ultimately end in Cairo soon thereafter. From Mozambique, the expedition will head to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania and Kenya before transitioning to Egypt through the sea channel, to avoid conflict-ridden nations blocking the path to the north of the continent.
