Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport Variant Detailed in 8 Images, Sportiest Looking Compact SUV?

Volkswagen India recently launched a new GT Sport trim for the Taigun. The new Sport trim gets two new variants, namely the GT Line and GT Plus Sport with a 1-litre and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine respectively. Today, we are going to take you through the new GT Plus Sport variant of the Taigun and show you how it looks in real life.

Design

The front of the Taigun GT Plus Sport features blacked-out elements on the grille, bumper and headlights. The grille gets a red GT badge adding a touch of contrast. These new additions give it a stealthy look.

In profile, it gets dark chrome door handles, a carbon steel grey roof, and blacked-out alloys. To further extend the sportiness, it gets red front brake callipers and red ‘GT’ badging on the fender.

Coming to the rear, you get a blacked-out ‘TAIGUN’ badge, and the dark elements in the bumper further add to the stealth factor.

Interior And Features

Step inside and you see an-black cabin which complements the design language of the exterior. To add a bit of contrast, it gets red stitching along with red ambient lighting. A new addition is that the dashboard gets an ‘Edgy Opulence’ insert which gives a slightly premium touch to the cabin.

The Taigun Plus Sport, being based on the top-end variant, gets features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital driver's display, automatic climate control, a six-speaker sound system with subwoofer, ambient lighting, a single-pane sunroof, powered front seats with ventilation, a wireless phone charger, cruise control, footwell lighting, and keyless entry with push-button start.

The safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a reverse camera with parking sensors.

Powertrain
