Building on the success of its predecessor, this gripping documentary continues to serve as an in-depth chronicle of the Springboks’ pursuit of a historic second consecutive Rugby World Cup victory.

“Chasing The Sun 2” offers viewers an intimate glimpse into the resilience, determination, and camaraderie that defines the South African national rugby team. From intense training sessions to electrifying matches on the global stage, the documentary showcases the unwavering spirit of the Springboks.

Not the first time affiliated with the national rugby team, Toyota South Africa Motors has reinforced its commitment on and off the field with the partnership. Leon Theron, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Toyota South Africa Motors, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “The Springboks give hope to ordinary South Africans. Hope is what we need, this country needs hope”.

As a recap, the Springboks concluded an immense campaign in France during the 2023 Rugby World Cup and managed to defend their title by fending off New Zealand in some of the closest scorelines in the history of the tournament. The quarters saw the men in green and gold dismiss the home team with a score of 29-28, while the semi-finals had the Springboks emerge victorious over England with a score of 16-15. The finals had the same score difference with Siya Kolisi raising the Webb Ellis Cup after a gruelling game with the All Blacks; 12-11.
