2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Review: Best alternative to a Model 3 - autoblog.com

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Review: Best alternative to a Model 3

Crossover SUVs may rule the day, but there’s still a market for good old-fashioned sedans. Of course, there’s absolutely nothing else old-fashioned about the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6, an electric car that looks like it arrived in your driveway from the future. Indeed, its striking design is a key part of its appeal – and not just from an aesthetic standpoint. The ultra-aerodynamic shape contributes to exceptional efficiency and range, although the latter differs considerably based on motor and trim level. Perhaps a bit too much, as the only way to get the 361-mile max range is with the base SE trim and its excessively downmarket cabin.

2024 Honda Ridgeline Review: Not a normal truck and that's totally OK - autoblog.com - Australia

2024 Honda Ridgeline Review: Not a normal truck and that's totally OK

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is quite obviously not a normal truck. It has more in common with car-based “utes” sold in Australia than the F-150s and Tacomas of this world. Once you accept that it’s OK to be different, and admittedly look a bit dweeby, the Ridgeline can make so much sense. Its under-bed trunk compartment never ceases to be useful. Its rear cabin’s flat floor and flip-up seat bottom grant it full-size truck versatility in a mid-size package. Its ride and handling are far superior to any “proper” truck.

2024 Mazda CX-5 Review: Why get option 1b when 1a is sitting right there? - autoblog.com - Usa - Japan

2024 Mazda CX-5 Review: Why get option 1b when 1a is sitting right there?

What exactly do you get with the number 0? Usually, by definition, nothing. But when it comes to Mazda’s pair of compact SUVs, the 2024 Mazda CX-5 isn’t as appealing as its newer sibling, the CX-50. Both have the same list of pros and cons, and both represent sportier and more premium takes on a segment that mostly consists of family-oriented or outdoor adventure entries. They’re even similar in size and offer the same engine choices. What the heck’s the difference, then?

2025 Honda Pilot Review: Well-rounded three-row SUV adds Black Edition - autoblog.com

2025 Honda Pilot Review: Well-rounded three-row SUV adds Black Edition

Now in its third model year since a complete redesign, the Honda Pilot has settled into its usual position in the three-row SUV segment as a safe, solid choice that does almost everything well. It’s definitely not the most stylish pick, but unlike the preceding generation, it’s not painfully dull. Its design is chiseled, unfussy and should age well, just like the best Hondas of old. That said, the 2025 Honda Pilot spruces things up as a new/resurrected range-topping model with black-out trim and red-accented leather. There’s also our pick of the litter, the off-road-oriented TrailSport that boasts cooler looks and greater capability with minimal tradeoff.

2024 Jaguar F-Pace Review: Fun, pretty and luxe, the big Jag's better with age - autoblog.com

2024 Jaguar F-Pace Review: Fun, pretty and luxe, the big Jag's better with age

The Jaguar F-Pace has now been around for quite some time – eight years have passed since we first got behind the wheel in far-flung Montenegro. While most vehicles would be well past their best years and already replaced by now, the 2024 Jaguar F-Pace is an example of something that has actually gotten better with age. Its infotainment technology is up to date and far easier to use than anything Jaguar Land Rover has offered before. Its cabin quality and design are better, the engines have been upgraded, and we even think the design tweaks made a few years ago improved upon an already knockout design.

2024 Porsche Cayenne Review: The do-it-all machine - autoblog.com

2024 Porsche Cayenne Review: The do-it-all machine

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne is one of the best do-it-all machines in existence, and it also happens to be heavily updated for the 2024 model year. Despite its SUV shape and SUV practicality, the Cayenne can set a blistering pace down any road – or even track – and be the source of many wide grins. BMW’s M division, Mercedes’ AMG and many others may try, but none can fully measure up to the Cayenne for driving enjoyment. The Cayenne isn’t a one-trick pony either, because assuming you spec its available air suspension, the ride is plush and beautifully damped.

2024 VW Atlas Cross Sport Interior Review: Taking steps forward and backward - autoblog.com - Volkswagen

2024 VW Atlas Cross Sport Interior Review: Taking steps forward and backward

Volkswagen interiors are a contentious point of concern these days. The company went all-in on a new minimalistic theme that eschewed buttons, fully embraced an all-new infotainment system and generally looked futuristic. As you probably already know, it was not met with praise to say the least. From the infuriating unlit temp and volume sliders, to a slow and poorly laid out touchscreen user interface, the cabin controls were bad enough to be a dealbreaker for many. Thankfully, Volkswagen has now backtracked and is making big, largely successful changes by reintroducing buttons among other «illuminating» updates in the pursuit of making the new interiors user-friendly. Now, you might be thinking that since the2024 Volkswagen Atlas and its two-row Atlas Cross Sport sibling were significantly updated for 2024 that they'd be getting those same course-correcting updates. That'd be a no, as the Atlas launched before the first new VW introduced with its new interface, the ID.7. Still, it's a shame that other 2024 model year VWs get the new system, most notably the ID.4, and the 2024 Atlas doesn't.
