The last time I drove a Nissan Armada, I wasn’t impressed. It felt massive and ungainly on my errand route around suburban Los Angeles, and the fuel economy in traffic was abysmal. It seemed that every time I got behind the wheel, I discovered something else to gripe about. Last week, however, I had the opposite experience. On a long, 800-mile road trip to see family, the Armada endeared itself to me time and time again.
The 2024 GX is fresh as a daisy and ready to rumble. Lexus was kind enough to reveal most of the juicy details concerning the all-new GX earlier in 2023, including its standard turbocharged V6 engine, seven-seat capacity, and the trail-ready Overland trim. Devoid of conventional Lexus styling cues (aka the love-it or hate-it spindle front grille), the third-generation GX is the ideal steed to take Lexus’ well-heeled clients beyond the concrete jungle. It has a traditional body-on-frame architecture (no crossover genes here) shared with the Lexus LX and Toyota Land Cruiser, but the styling is a bold direction for the Lexus brand.

The BMW 7 Series sedan took top honours at Indian Car of the Year 2024 by claiming the title of Premium Car of the Year 2024. It defeated the Mercedes-Benz GLC and BMW X1 in the race for the top prize. The premium car of the year was a closely contested battle between the BMW X1, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Range Rover Sport, Lexus RX, Volvo C40 Recharge, Lexus LX and of course the BMW 7 Series.
The BMW 7 Series has received the Premium Car award 2024 by ICOTY. The German automaker’s flagship sedan in its latest avatar has been considered a game changer, both for its unconventional looks and its extreme levels of technological prowess. The BMW 7 Series tipped the other contenders in the category, which was won by the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 last year.
The name Lexus TX looks like an address you forgot to place a comma in. People have also been calling it a Lexus Texas, which sounds like the name of an adult film actress. But I also think the Lexus Texas 550h+ is a lot more memorable, which is good, since the TX is one of the least distinctive Lexus ever made. It really is just a Toyota Grand Highlander with pretty paint, fancier interior trappings, extra features and some unique powertrain options. Only previous-generation Lexus LX models (fancy Land Cruiser) have undergone a less substantial transformation from Toyota to Lexus.
