Chevy Silverado HD towing a 20-foot trailer hands-free(!) What could go wrong?

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Driving without your hands on the steering wheel while driving a heavy-duty pickup weighing over 6,000 pounds on the 105 in Los Angeles seems like a profoundly bad idea. Having it hooked up to a trailer that could weigh at least twice as much seems like … well, whatever is at least twice as worse as “profoundly bad.” Irredeemably stupid?

2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV 3WT trim trades range for capability - autoblog.com

2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV 3WT trim trades range for capability

General Motors' electric rollout continues, hiccups and all. GM Authority has news on the next Silverado EV pickup trim being released, the 3WT. This is one step down in the Work Truck lineup from the 4WT that launched the electric Silvy, that one priced at $79,900. The 3WT brings the price down to $74,900 in exchange for some performance sacrifices but capability increases. Output from the dual-motor Ultium powertrain comes to 510 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, 15 hp less than in the 4WT. Driving range is the big giveaway, the 3WT estimated to go 393 miles on a charge compared to 450 miles for the 4WT. On the other hand, the 3LT's payload capacity is rated at 1,750 pounds, 350 pounds more than on the 4WT, while 3LT towing capacity comes in at 12,500 pounds, which is 2,500 pounds more than the pricier truck.

Chevy dropped Blazer EV's price, so it's sending refunds to buyers who paid more - autoblog.com

Chevy dropped Blazer EV's price, so it's sending refunds to buyers who paid more

The short, eventful life of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV takes another turn, this one for the good — specifically, for the good of early buyers. After software issues led to a stop sale, Chevy put the battery-electric crossover back on the market with appreciably lower prices, at discounts of either $5,620 or $6,520 compared to the original MSRPs for the three trims on sale. Edmunds, which bought an example in RS AWD spec for its long-term fleet, reports that it received a letter from Chevrolet notifying it of a refund. The letter that apparently went to all owners who purchased before the price cuts read, «Chevrolet recently announced a new MSRP reduction on 2024 Blazer EVs. As a result of this announcement, we would like to offer reimbursement to customers who purchased a new 2024 Blazer EV before March 7, 2024.»

Chevy Camaro thefts spike in L.A., use in street takeovers a possible motive

This isn't the way anyone planned for the Chevrolet Camaro to meet The Great Beyond. The L.A. Times reports that the Los Angeles Police Department and another L.A.-area PD say Camaro thefts have skyrocketed this year — and yeah, it's only March. In one area of south L.A., thieves stole two Camaros in January and February of last year; this year, thieves have swiped 10 Camaros in the same period.

Junkyard Gem: 2013 Chevrolet Volt

I've been finding pure electric vehicles in the big self-service car graveyards I frequent for well over a decade, including an incredibly rare example of Toyota's competitor to the GM EV1. Plug-in hybrids have been a different story; the first modern mass-production plug-in hybrid available in the United States was the 2011 Chevrolet Volt, and I've finally found a discarded example of that first-generation ground-breaker.

Chevrolet Launches Two New Corvette Limited Edition Models Just For Japan

General Motors knows that Japanese buyers are fond of special editions, so they launched two new versions of the Chevrolet Corvette, exclusively available in the Land of the Rising Sun. Both have nostalgic references, with the Edition CERV I being inspired by an experimental concept and the Heritage Edition harking back to the C1 Corvette from 1953.The CERV I was the first Chevrolet Experimental Research Vehicle in 1959. The mid-engined single-seater was developed by Zora Arkus-Duntov, also known as the father of the Corvette.
