These Modified Royal Enfield Continental GT 650s Give Proper 1960s Retro Vibes

Hardheads Motostudio, a Mexican custom shop from Mexico City has made two modified Royal Enfield Continental GT 650s complete with vintage racing full-fairing, a new seat, among others. For this project, Hardheads used two Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Mr Clean editions, which come with a fully chromed fuel tank. The custom bikes are called HH5 and HH6.

The first thing they added was the full fairing on the bikes, giving them a look similar to that found on vintage cafe racer bikes from the 60s, the same era when Royal Enfield launched the original Continental GT. Along with this, the raised clip-on handlebars on both bikes have been replaced with custom lowered ones for a more aggressive riding posture.

Hardheads have gone with a grey finish for both bikes and to give it a more vintage look they have added the bike's numbers on the fairings written in yellow circles with a vintage style font.

To give the bike a more compact profile Hardheads shortened the subframe, added a custom seat, along with a circular LED taillight. Additionally, they also removed the pillion footpeg mounts.

The side panels have been removed and one can easily see through the frame. Other changes to the bike include a two-to-one aftermarket exhaust from S&S Cycles. This should offer a good power bump apart from reducing the overall weight. The stock airbox has also been removed and replaced with a conical air filter, ensuring a clean look on the sides. These modifications should bump up the 47PS and 52.3Nm figures that the stock 648cc parallel-twin engine makes. The retro ribbed tyres wrapped on the spoke wheels really round off the classic appeal.
