The 2023 Suzuki Swift Is Longer Than The India-spec Maruti Swift

The 4th-generation Swift is expected to enter the Indian market sometime next year

  • While its length is more than the current version’s, it falls back in terms of width and height.

  • The India-spec version could come with the new 3-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine.

  • New features include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and blind spot monitoring.

  • Expected to be priced from Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 4th-generation Suzuki Swift was unveiled recently in Japan and the details of its engine options, drivetrain and features were revealed. Recently, Suzuki has also revealed the dimensions of its updated hatchback, and here is how its size differs from the current India-spec Maruti Swift.

Compared to the India-spec version, the 2024 Suzuki Swift is slightly longer but has the same wheelbase. However, it is much narrower and shorter than the Maruti Swift, which could result in less space inside the cabin for passengers. But, when Maruti launches the updated Swift in India, it could tweak its suspension and ride height for a slightly taller appeal.

This engine is expected to offer more torque compared to the current Maruti Swift’s 4-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine (90 PS/ 113 Nm).
