Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber Design Patent Revealed

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 bobber, likely to be called the Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 is one of the few Royal Enfield bikes expected to be launched by this year. And now its design patent has been revealed.

One of the major highlights spotted in the patent image is the pillion seat, which will most likely be a removable unit. However, the grab rail design and the overall construction of the pillion seat in this patent image is different from the removable unit seen on the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. The bike also gets white-walled tyres and the turn indicators seem to be LED units. These details have already been spotted before, when the bike was spied together with the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650. The other details spotted in the patent images include the design of the headlight and the headlight cowl, front fender and the fork covers, all of which seem to be similar to that of the Classic 350. It also gets mini ape-hanger handlebars and a tyre-hugging fender, which we saw when it was spied four months ago.

The upcoming Shotgun 350 will be powered by the same 349cc, single-cylinder engine found in the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Classic 350, Meteor 350 and Hunter 350. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers while braking duties will be handled by disc brakes at the front and the rear.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 is expected to get a price tag of about Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and will likely be launched in the coming months. It will rival the Jawa Perak and the Jawa 42 Bobber.
