New Tata Nexon EV Dark: Design Explained In 7 Images

The new Nexon EV Dark is available in a single Empowered Plus Long Range variant priced at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India)

The facelifted Tata Nexon EV was recently launched in the Dark edition after it was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. Tata has priced the Dark edition of the electric SUV at a premium of Rs 20,000 over the standard variant it is based on. It has now reached dealerships and here’s how it looks in real life:

Front

Up front, we can notice that all the silver-finished elements in the bumper have been given the black treatment. Even the Tata logo on the grille panel is now a 2D element with a dark chrome finish instead of the usual chrome 3D logo. Other features like the triangular housing for the LED headlights and fog lamps, and the full LED DRL strip remain unchanged over the standard model.

Side

From the sides, you can notice that all details including the door handles, ORVM housings, and roof rails have been blacked out as well. There’s also the #Dark moniker on the front fenders as was available on the pre-facelift Nexon EV’s Dark version. The ‘.EV’ badge on the lower portions of the front doors, though, is still finished in blue to differentiate it easily from the regular Nexon Dark.

Tata is also offering the new Nexon EV Dark with a fresh set of dual-tone black and grey 16-inch alloy wheels.

Rear

The Nexon EV Dark’s rear profile also features a black treatment for the skid plate and also the ‘Nexon.EV’ badging on the bootlid. Apart from these changes, it still has the same LED connected taillights as the regular model.

Cabin

The only major change in the Nexon EV Dark’s cabin is the all-black theme. It also gets leatherette seat upholstery featuring Tata’s famous tri-arrow pattern with blue accents for its EV nature, and the #Dark embossing on the headrests.

It doesn’t get any additional features over the standard top-spec Nexon EV, which is already equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging and push-button start/stop. In terms of safety,
