“The Triton has always been a top seller for Mitsubishi in South Africa. The Shogun edition enhances the Triton’s unique styling and off-road prowess, adding bespoke touches that make it stand out in any setting.” – Jeffrey Allison, General Manager of Marketing at Mitsubishi Motors South Africa (MMSA).

Based on the Triton 4×4 Automatic, the Triton Shogun is distinguished with a variety of dark-themed accents. The front end features a black bumper garnish and headlight covers, with matte black finishes on the fog light covers. The roof rails also come in a dark hue, and a bespoke Shogun sports bar is added to the load bin, complemented by a tonneau cover and tailgate lock. The rear lights receive similar matte black covers, and a tow bar is fitted as standard. An optional nudge bar is available for added protection and style.

Inside, the Shogun treatment continues with a leather steering wheel, parking brake, and floor console, all adorned with black and red stitching. The leather seats and door trims feature red leather stitching, providing a sporty yet refined look. Mitsubishi’s Triton is renowned for its off-road capability, and the Shogun edition builds on that reputation. It comes equipped with Dunlop A/T 265/60R18 all-terrain tyres on black alloy wheels, offering excellent grip on varied terrains. The bakkie also features Mitsubishi’s Super Select II 4WD system, allowing drivers to choose from various modes depending on the terrain. Gravel, Mud/Snow, and Sand modes are available in 4hLc, while Rock mode can be selected in 4LLc for more challenging conditions. With 220mm of ground clearance, 31-degree approach, 29-degree departure angles, and a 25-degree ramp breakover angle, the Triton Shogun is well-equipped to tackle rough off-road environments.
