The legendary Maruti Suzuki Swift will be launched in India today in its fourth-generation avatar. The popularity of this hatchback can be gauged from the fact that it has clocked sales of around 3 million units since its introduction in the country. It has always been among the top-sellers and attracted buyers for its incredible value-for-money package. Let us check out what the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift has in store for us.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Price

While the outgoing Swift is priced between Rs 6.24 lakh and Rs 9.28 lakh (ex-showroom), we expect the 2024 Swift price to be in the range of Rs 6.25 lakh to Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift vs Tata Punch vs Hyundai Exter

Although the Punch and the Exter are micro-SUVs, we expect them to rival the 2024 Swift in terms of pricing. For reference, the Punch is priced between Rs 6.13 lakh and Rs 10.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The Exter comes in the price range of Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 10.28 lakh (Ex-showroom).

There was a time when the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios were direct rivals. However, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has seen its sales taking a massive tumble over the past few years.

In FY24, the Grand i10 Nios sold merely 70,764 units, while the Swift garnered sales of 195,321 units.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Features

The 2024 Swift will be a feature-loaded hatchback. It will come with a new grille, flanked by redesigned LED headlights with LED DRLs. The LED fog lights will be new. At the rear, you will get new LED taillights. The car will get redone bumpers. Even the alloy wheels will be new.

However, the most significant changes will be inside the cabin with a new dashboard. The Swift 2024 will have automatic climate control similar to the unit we see in the Baleno and the Fronx. There will be a new standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Even the instrument panel will be new. The car will come with a 360-degree camera also.

The Swift will also get six airbags as standard. It will become the first car to be sold from the Arena channel of Maruti Suzuki to get six airbags right from the base variant.
