Mahindra XUV 3XO vs Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Specifications Compared

Mahindra has launched the facelifted XUV300, dubbed the XUV 3XO, featuring refreshed styling with segment-first features. It enters the crowded subcompact SUV market alongside contenders such as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. In this report, we delve how the XUV 3XO compares against the Brezza in terms of their specifications.

Dimensions

Although the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is longer, the wheelbase of the Mahindra XUV 3XO exceeds that of the Brezza by 100 mm. Additionally, the XUV 3XO boasts greater width, and increased boot space compared to the Maruti SUV. However, the Brezza stands taller than the XUV 3XO by approximately 40 mm.

Features

*will come as a OTA update

Both the XUV 3XO and the Brezza offer feature-rich cabins; however, the former provides a more premium experience with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a better-equipped 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a panoramic sunroof. In terms of safety as well, the XUV 3XO offers better equipment with ADAS and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

When it comes to engine choices, the XUV 3XO offers more options with two turbo-petrol and a diesel engine. On the other hand the Brezza is available only with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The petrol engine in the Brezza can further be configured with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

While the 3XO’s diesel engine packs more torque (unsurprisingly), even its two petrol engines offer a higher output compared to the Brezza’ s NA petrol.

Transmission options in the Brezza include a 5-speed manual with 6-speed automatic, while the XUV 3XO gets 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox choices for both the petrol and diesel engine options.

Pricing

Introductory prices for the XUV 3XO range from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). While its base-spec is priced Rs 85,000 lower than the base-spec Brezza, the top-spec variant of the Brezza is priced Rs 1.35 lakh lower than the XUV’s top-spec variant.

Apart from rivalling with each other, both these sub-4m SUVs lock horns with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and the Toyota Taisor.
