Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus Variant-wise Features Explained

Mahindra has launched the Bolero Neo Plus, which is essentially the extended version of the Bolero Neo with the capability to seat 9. It is being offered in two different trims, namely P4 and P10, and in this article we highlight the features which both the variants get and miss out on.

Price

As per the table, the P10 is priced Rs 1.1 lakh above the base P4 variant.

Exterior

Notable from the table above, the base variants miss out on cosmetic elements such as chrome elements that lends the SUV a posher look. While the top variant is offered with alloy wheels, the base is limited to just steel rims.

Interior

As seen from the table above, the base variant misses out on not just cosmetic elements but also on some comfort features which are present in the top-spec P10 variant. It even includes bits such as an armrest for the front occupants and foldable second row, the latter, which will prove useful if you intend to carry more luggage.

Convenience Features

Again, to keep costs under check, the base variant misses out on a lot of convenience features, though it still comes with rear parking sensors.

Safety

On the safety front, even the base variant comes equipped with 2 airbags as standard and ABS and EBD as standard. However, bits like the rear defogger and wiper as well as front fog lamps are limited to the top variant.

Engine

The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is offered with a single engine and transmission option. It is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 120 PS and 280 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. What the Bolero Neo Plus misses out on is the mechanically locking differential that’s offered with its younger sibling, the Bolero Neo.

Both the variants can be opted in three colour options: Napoli Black, Majestic Silver and Diamond White.

At this price point, the Bolero Neo Plus is an alternative to models such as the Citroen C3 Aircross, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga as well as subcompact SUVs such as the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.
