Locally developed Tresa V0.2 electric truck unveiled

Tresa Motors has unveiled the V0.2, its second product which is a vast improvement upon the brand's first model. The brand has used an 800V electric architecture which is driven by a central computing unit, advanced telemetry, in-house BMS, central steering and many other innovations which have been developed in house by Tresa. The V0.2 is not available to customers, as the vehicle is still in a prototype stage and is a step towards a product which will be ready for market launch in 2026.

The company has already bagged anorder for 1,000 electric trucks from JFK Transporters.

Unlike a vast number of EVs which use a big number of ECUs to control each subsystem, Tresa has integrated its systems into zones, which are controlled by a Nvidia GPU-druven CPU, which has the major task of controlling all the systems. There are over 500 monitoring points across the truck which feed data to the CPU.

Speaking on the announcement, Rohan Shravan, CEO, Tresa Motors, " We are excited to announce the launch of Model V0.2. Built on our `Delta-Engineering` philosophy, V0.2 is a major internal release where we get to test and monitor all of our components on the road. Our dream is to become the most efficient EV in the world, and the capability to understand power consumption at the sub-system level is the key to achieving our goal. This is also where we feel that we can optimize our heat pump and make it our key IP along with our motor and battery. "

The Tresa V0.2 truck has a central steering setup, which along with an air-suspended seat ensures optimimum comfort for the driver. The brand offers custom seat options too. Tresa claims that it has used an electric motor with a hub torque of 24,000Nm which can enable the V0.2 reach a top speed of 120kmph. The truck has a 300kWh battery pack which can be fast charged in just 20 minutes (10 to 80 per cent).
