Hyundai Creta vs Honda Elevate: Real-world Performance Compared

The Hyundai Creta and the Honda Elevate are fierce rivals in the highly competitive compact SUV segment in our market. So we decided to put them head-to-head in a performance comparison to see how they fare in real-world conditions. The Creta offers more engine options compared to the Elevate. However, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is common to both the SUVs.

Specifications

On paper, both the Creta and Elevate's 1.5-litre petrol units deliver a similar amount of torque, but the latter produces slightly more power. Both are offered with a 6-speed manual or a CVT. However, for this comparison, we will be considering the CVT variants of both. With the specifications in place, let's take a look at the numbers you're here for.

Performance Comparison

The Honda Elevate's 6 PS power advantage on paper translates to a one second lead in the 0-100 kmph acceleration test. It also outperforms the Creta in quarter-mile acceleration by about a quarter of a second, reaching a higher speed of 125.11 kmph.

In terms of braking performance, the Elevate is marginally better than the Creta, achieving a stopping distance of 37.98 metres compared to the Creta's 38.12 metres.
