Hyundai Creta records best annual performance in FY24, continues to rule mid-size SUV segment

The Hyundai Creta cemented its leadership position further in the mid-size SUV segment in FY24 growing over 8% year-on-year (y-o-y) on the back of strong demand and introduction of the facelifted version.

The Creta posted its best-ever annual volume at 162,773 units in FY24, witnessing a jump of 8.2% y-o-y over 150,372 units sold in FY23. While the Creta was the mid-size SUV segment leader in the last fiscal, it ruled the space in the previous fiscal as well.

Also, the Creta clocked its highest-ever monthly volume at 16,458 units in March 2024. The previous best came just a month back in February 2024 at 15,276 units.

Hyundai COO Tarun Garg recently told India Today that the popularity of the Creta is such that it has made the carmaker a household name in the country.

While the company launched the Creta facelift in January 2024, it brought the performance-oriented Creta N Line two months later in March 2024. With the N Line, Hyundai was aiming to reach monthly volumes of 16,000 units for the Creta and it successfully reached its target during the month.

The Hyundai Creta rivals the likes of the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor. It will soon have a new rival in the form of the Tata Curvv.

The Hyundai Creta is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Creta N Line comes in the price range of Rs 16.82 lakh to Rs 20.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
