Hyundai Creta EV Spied Testing Overseas, India Launch Possible In 2025

Hyundai could price the Creta EV from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) in India

  • The Creta EV will be based on the facelifted Creta that was just launched in January 2024.

  • Exterior revisions to include a closed-off grille and aerodynamic alloy wheels.

  • To get the new dashboard layout and a light colour for the cabin theme and upholstery.

  • Expected to have features like dual 10.25-inch displays, six airbags and ADAS.

  • Powertrain details not known yet; expected to have a claimed range of over 400 km.

In recent times, there have been a few spy shots of a Hyundai Creta EV doing the rounds in India. Now, a new spy image has surfaced online showing a camouflaged version of the new all-electric Hyundai Creta, based on the India-spec facelift, in its home country (South Korea).

What Can Be Noticed In The Image?

The latest sighting gives us our clearest view yet at the upcoming Hyundai electric SUV. Although still draped in heavy camouflage, the Creta EV does have some noticeable differences over the standard model like a closed-off grille along with a tweaked bumper. There also appears to be a small section in the camouflage on the front bumper with a cut out outline, possibly suggesting the location of the charging port.

That said, it still has the same double L-shaped LED DRLs as seen on the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the SUV.

Its profile looks to be largely similar to that of the regular Creta save for the inclusion of a fresh set of 17-inch alloy wheels featuring a more aerodynamic design. While there’s no image of the EV’s rear, expect it to have a similar connected LED taillight setup with a possibly reworked bumper.

Expected Cabin Details And Features

Standard Creta's cabin image used for reference purposes only

While the spy shot gives no details of the cabin, it does look like the Creta EV will have a light shade for the cabin theme and upholstery. It is also likely to get the standard SUV’s dashboard design including the dual 10.25-inch digital displays (one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation). Other expected equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless phone
