Dubbed the GR Yaris Ogier and Rovanpera Editions, the new models were revealed at Rally Monte Carlo and don’t only bring a host of cosmetic differences but also promise to drive differently, too, thanks to new driving modes tailored to the WRC star’s preferences.
The Toyota GR Yaris won six races during the 2023 World Rally Championship (WRC) season at the hands of drivers Sebastien Ogier and eventual driver’s champion Kalle Rovanpera. To celebrate their wins, and the fact that the team won the manufacturer’s championship, it has released a pair of specially tuned GR Yaris models.Created by the two rally pilots, the models feature special driving modes, modifications, and design, and design cues inspired by Toyota’s hot shoes.

Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda recently expressed his belief that battery electric vehicles will reach a maximum market share of 30 percent, while the remainder will be divided among hybrids, hydrogen fuel cell cars, and traditional fuel-burning vehicles.
