Engler V12 Revealed as Super Quad Bike with 883 kW!

Engler Automotive has whipped the wraps off the V12, a 883 kW super quad bike powered by, you guessed it, a V12 engine.

Underpinned by a carbon monocoque chassis, replete with 3D-printed titanium elements and tubular subframes fashioned from the same material, the V12 tips the scales at a claimed dry weight of 1 200 kg. The suspension arrangement is of the independent double wishbone variety, and features helical springs and electronically-controlled shock absorbers.

The company’s super quad bike is brought to a halt by a set of ventilated, carbon-ceramic Brembo brake discs. The six-piston front callipers measure 410 mm, while the rear, four-piston units measure 390 mm. The brakes are housed in 20-inch forged magnesium wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber, which measures 245/30 and 305/30 at the front and rear, respectively.

As mentioned, the V12’s, ahem, V12 powertrain produces a whopping 883 kW, with the total torque output coming in at a neck-snapping 1 200 N.m. The engine is coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch ‘micro box’ transmission, which weighs “less than” 30 kg. The company claims this makes it the lightest gearbox ever used in a road-legal vehicle. The UK-based brand does, however, offer a less powerful version, which sports a detuned, naturally aspirated V12 producing 515 kW.

Not your run-of-the-mill quad bike, the V12’s exterior design takes the shape of a “piece of art”, the firm says. According to the manufacturer, the height-adjustable windscreen’s movement is synchronised with that of the rear wing and active aero flaps that can be found around the bodywork. ‘Laser’ LED headlamps and standard LED taillamps are present.

In addition, it is equipped with several convenience features, which include a duo of touch-enabled screens — one for driving information and another for infotainment, such as Apple CarPlay — sited fore the driver and passenger. The seats are made by Art in Motion and are upholstered in the same leather used for Hermès bags. The electrically adjustable pews are fashioned to the client’s measurements.
