  • India launch possible in 2025; prices for the fully loaded quattro version could start from Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom).

Audi has just taken the wraps off an all-new electric offering and it’s called the Audi Q6 e-tron. It is based on the Volkswagen Group’s new PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture, and will be positioned below the Q8 e-tron in the luxury marque’s lineup.

A Real Looker

The Q6 e-tron has an aggressive face thanks to the chunky grille and split lighting setup with the LED DRLs located in the upper portion of the fascia. Customers can also personalise the headlight setup on their Q6 e-tron by opting from eight lighting signatures for the Matrix LED units.

From the sides, the Q6 e-tron has the familiar silhouette of Audi SUVs and it has been provided with a dapper set of alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it gets connected OLED taillights having six OLED panels, featuring a total of 360 segments to generate a new animation every 10 milliseconds. Audi has also made the rear lighting piece more functional as it can actively communicate with the cars following the Q6 e-tron. It will notify the car tailing the Audi EV about a certain traffic scenario or accidents ahead by showing key warning symbols.

The Q6 e-tron has been unveiled alongside its slightly sportier sibling, the SQ6 e-tron, which gets blacked-out details and different alloy wheels.

As the first Audi model based on the new PPE platform, here’s how its dimensions compare to the brand’s current flagship EV SUV:
