2025 GMC Terrain To Feature More Assertive Design, Better Tech

Here it is, folks. Our first look at the third-generation Terrain has been provided by GMC, giving us a taste of what the new headlights will look like.The teaser shows the more rugged AT4 model, hence the dark trim surrounding the grille.

Now in its fourth generation, the Equinox grew two inches wider with its redesign but kept similar proportions to the 2024 model otherwise.The big changes were to the interior, and we expect the GMC Terrain to benefit from a similar set of updates.

They include an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen with Google built-in — a big improvement over the outgoing model’s seven-inch touchscreen. Overall, the interior design of the Equinox just looks better, with soft-touch materials, and physical climate control buttons.Under the hood, the Equinox benefits from a refreshed 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine.

The power unit still makes 175 hp (131 kW / 177 PS) and 203 lb-ft (275 Nm) of torque, but new software improves fuel economy. Front-wheel-drive models get a CVT transmission, while all-wheel-drive models get an eight-speed auto.GMC says it will unveil the new Terrain later this year.
