Toyota Crown Crossover Landscape Is A Rugged-Looking Special Edition For Japan

Toyota expanded the lineup of the Crown Crossover in Japan with the addition of the Landscape special edition as part of minor model year updates for 2024. The most adventurous and most expensive version of the hybrid crossover features several off-road modifications, making it more suitable for outdoor activities.The Crown Landscape is inspired by the Crown Outdoor Concept that debuted last year.

A few things have been toned down for production, although owners can get pretty close to the concept with a few optional accessories.More: New Toyota GR Crown Rumored To Debut This Summer With Over 370HPGiven that most buyers won’t take the Crown on extreme off-roading courses, Toyota opted for a more subtle setup in terms of wheels. Still, the 245/60R18 all-terrain tires wrapped around the custom 18-inch rims offer enough grip for challenging terrains.

Furthermore, the special edition sits 25 mm (1 inch) higher than the standard Crown Crossover, thanks to the raised suspension. According to Toyota, the increased ground clearance is beneficial not only for avoiding obstacles but also for a higher driving position and better visibility.Besides the new wheels and the raised stance, the Crown Landscape features wider bolt-on fender extensions finished in “Gori Gori Black” paint.

The color combination of Urban Khaki and Black for the exterior mirrors that of the concept.Similarly, the production model benefits from red mud flaps, a towing hitch, and larger fog lights at the back. There is also an optional roof rack, although the roof basket shown in the press photos is an aftermarket accessory.
