Mercedes-Benz has descended upon CES 2024 with all its might, showcasing several new technologies and features and the Concept CLA Class, which made its North American debut. A new virtual assistant, MBUX Sound Drive, updated in-car gaming, and much more will soon be able to be enjoyed by Mercedes owners. Mercedes-Benz took the wraps off what it calls MB.OS nearly two years ago. Since then, the infotainment hasn’t made it into any production cars, as they’re all still running versions of MBUX. Today at CES 2024, Mercedes says that the first vehicles that will host MB.OS will be its family of MMA platform vehicles, which will include its entry-level models like the CLA, GLA and others.
Mercedes-Benz is expanding its audio selections available in Dolby Atmos at CES 2024. In addition to music listening via Apple Music in Dolby Atmos, which we named our 2023 Technology of the Year winner, you’ll be able to listen to Amazon Music and even Audible with spatial audio.
Mercedes-AMG teamed up with musician will.i.am to develop a technology called MBUX Sound Drive that lets owners use their car as both a musical instrument and a recording studio. Although it sounds science fiction-esque, this system is headed to production later in 2024.

Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to introduce its newest operating system, succinctly called MB.OS, after years of development. Designed in-house, MB.OS made its public debut at CES 2024 with a unique AI virtual assistant, a variety of audio and gaming partner apps, and a three-dimensional gaming engine for more complex graphics.
For those that watched and loved German touring car racing in the 1990s, HWA AG’s upcoming “revival of a motorsport classic” in the shape of the HWA Evo will be the stuff of dreams. It might not have any ‘Mercedes’ badges on the exterior, but this is an unmistakable homage to the iconic Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evo II.
