On May 17, Changan’s Deepal brand released the official images of its L07, a sedan equipped with Huawei’s smart driving system, available in EV and EREV variants. The Avatr 07 has up to 590 hp and LFP batteries from CATL. Its EREV version has up to 188 km of electric range. The Avatr 07 was previously known by the code name Avatr 15.
On May 11, Dongfeng’s high-end new energy brand Voyah’s new pure electric SUV called Zhiyin was revealed by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The car is internally codenamed H37 and is positioned lower than the Voyah FREE. Zhiyin’s (知音) literal Chinese translation is bosom friend.
Avatr 07 EREV crossover from Changan, CATL and Huawei was officially unveiled in China as a direct competitor of the Tesla Model Y. It was previously known by its code name Avatr 15. The 07 SUV will enter the market this year within a price range of 250,000 – 350,000 yuan (34,600 – 48,400 USD). Later, it will be also available in fully electric variant.
