After establishing a new electric production-car lap record at the Nürburgring earlier this year with a Taycan prototype, Porsche has now introduced the finalized production version, named the Taycan Turbo GT, at Laguna Seca in Monterey, California where it also secured another lap record. The new insanely fast flagship of Porsche’s EV portfolio produces up to 1,092 hp (815 kW / 1,108 PS), and is blessed with a series of aerodynamic and chassis upgrades, in line with the legacy of Porsche’s GT-branded models. Furthermore, the optional Weissach package contributes to weight reduction by eliminating the rear seats and replacing them with a carbon fiber bulkhead, transforming the vehicle into a two-seater track-focused powerhouse. The Taycan Turbo GT features an upgraded iteration of the dual-motor powertrain utilized in the Taycan Turbo S.
