2025 Kia K4 Is a Stylish Compact Sedan to Replace the Forte

After a shadowy set of teaser photos a week ago, Kia has revealed the design of the 2025 K4. The new compact sedan, which is set to the replace the Forte, bears the new corporate design language that is spreading across the lineup. No technical information was released for the K4, which will have its full global premiere next week on March 27 at the New York auto show. The new styling—which Kia has dubbed «Opposites United»—first appeared on the 2025 Carnival minivan and 2024 Sorento SUV, and now migrates to a smaller vehicle without looking awkward. Up front, the K4 sports T-shaped headlights that link a thin rectangular grille and culminate in a s

335-HP Volkswagen ID.Buzz GTX Will Come to U.S. As an AWD Model

After revealing the 322-hp ID.3 GTX hot hatch and 335-hp ID.7 GTX Tourer last week, Volkswagen continues to expand its sporty EV subbrand. The latest vehicle to wear the GTX branding is the electric ID.Buzz minivan, which gains a 335-hp dual-motor powertrain. While the GTX badging will remain exclusive to Europe—as on the other models—Volkswagen has confirmed that the same all-wheel-drive powertrain will make it to the U.S. The GTX, along with the U.S.-bound AWD model, packs a 107-hp motor on the front axle and a 282-hp motor powering the rear wheels. Volkswagen is offering the GTX powertrain on both short- and long-wheelbase models for Europe, but America will only receive the longer ID.Buzz. Top speed for the van is capped at 99 mph, and Volkswagen didn't share acceleration estimates. Two batteries are offered for

Mercedes-Benz Recalls SUVs for Electrical Problem That Could Lead to Fire

Mercedes-Benz is ordering a recall of 116,020 SUVs from several models, among which are vehicles produced by Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall is to fix an issue relating to a 48-volt ground system located under the front passenger seat. Vehicles covered by the recall include the 2021–2024 Mercedes-AMG GLE53 and GLE63, 2021–2023 GLS63, 2023–2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE350, 2020–2024 GLE450, 2020–2023 GLE580, 2019–2023 GLS450, 2020–2023 GLS580, and the 2021–2023 Mercedes-Maybach GLS600. The NHTSA documents explain that the ground on affected models may become loose under the passenger seat during production, which could lead to the ground connection overheating. In turn, the overheating connection may result in a fire. Of the vehicles involved in the recall, Mercedes estimates that 100 percent are potentially affected b

Ford Launches Ranger Raptor 'Assault School' for New Raptor Owners

Modern track-attack cars and off-roading trucks are like precision weapons with limits that not every customer is necessarily equipped to reach. Because of that, some automakers offer driving schools to help customers who buy their performance vehicles gain the necessary skills to achieve those limits safely. Ford is one of those automakers, and it's just announced another off-roading school for its owners, this time for owners of the 2024 Ranger Raptor pickup. The course is called the Ranger Raptor Assault School, and it joins Ford's other schools like the nationwide Bronco Off-Roadeo courses, Mustang Track Attacks, and the similarly named F-150 Raptor Assault School. The new course launches in June at the Ford Performance School in Tooele Valley, Utah. Enrollment is exclusive to owners of the 2024 Ranger Raptor, and the program cost is baked into the cost of buying your truck, so enrollment is definitely worth consideration. BMW's Neue Klasse X Concept Is a Big Tease - caranddriver.com - Germany - Portugal

BMW's Neue Klasse X Concept Is a Big Tease

The 1960s were an important turning point for BMW. After introducing a Neue Klasse, or new class, of sedan, not only would the German carmaker triple its car sales that decade, but it also delivered one of our all-time favorites, the 2002. Inspired by the past, BMW is debuting future all-electric models under the new Vision Neue Klasse moniker. Last year, BMW unveiled its Vision sedan concept—likely ani3 sedan for 2026—but now there's an all-new Neue Klasse. The biggest to wear the name, the Vision Neue Klasse X goes into production in 2025 in what will likely be the U.S.'s first all-electric X3—the iX3. BMW says the look of the concept is very close to production form. In fact, earlier this year, a camouflaged SUV resembling the Neue Klasse X was spotted testing in the snow. The concept, which was unveiled to us at a media event near Lisbon Portugal, flaunted incredible details. It has reimagined the kidney grille as a dynamic element that's illuminated and backlit, making it look like something you could reach into. The LED headlights share the same feel. The daytime running lights

2025 Infiniti QX80 Drops Jaws with Striking Styling and $100K Prices - caranddriver.com

2025 Infiniti QX80 Drops Jaws with Striking Styling and $100K Prices

The Infiniti QX80 was a dinosaur hiding in plain sight. Despite its dapper wrapper, the outgoing version of the full-size luxury SUV had old bones that dated back to the 2011 QX56, which became the QX80 for the 2014 model year. While the last generation began long ago, the redesign at that time helped redefine Infiniti's flagship from a rebodied Nissan Armada to a viable option in a segment with stalwarts like the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Range Rover. History repeats itself with the 2025 Infiniti QX80 that today debuts a new generation that's long overdue. Not only does its grandiose appearance draw attention, but so does its pricing, which can now exceed $100,000 but lines up better with its competitors. New QX80 Makes a Grand Entrance Infiniti essentially previewed the production version of the QX80 when the company revealed the QX Monograph concept last summer. Its interior was kept a secret, but its exterior looks almost identical to the SUVs that will be roaming the streets. That's fine by us, as the new QX80's blend of big proportions and smooth body panels—courtesy of flush door handles—make it arguably the most handsome machine in its class. Infiniti says the

Feds Tighten the Noose on Internal-Combustion Vehicles with New Rules

Today, the EPA announced its final rules regulating national pollution standards for model year 2027–2032 cars and trucks. The updated rule will cut tailpipe pollution almost in half during that period by requiring carbon emissions to be reduced by more than seven billion metric tons. The final rule sets a tailpipe emission standard of about 80 grams per mile in 2032, half as much as the standard would be if the 2026 standards were simply extended. The EPA said the new pollution rules will reduce cumulative carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 7.2 billion metric tons by 2055. Despite groups calling the new rules a «car ban,» the EPA's new rules do not ban any vehicles. They don't even set specific targets for EV sales, according to White House climate policy advisor Ali Zaidi. «The way these rules work, they are technology neutral, which means that different automakers will approach them in different ways, harnessing a variety of technologies to meet that target of reducing emissions in half over that period of time,» Zaidi told Car and Driver. «What you literally find in the rule is that there are different ways that automakers could comply with the rules. Ford Said to Be Planning $25,000 Compact EV for 2026, Delays Three-Row EV SUV

Ford appears to be shifting its priorities. As a wave of low-priced Chinese electric vehicles begin to flood the European market—with the assumption that they will eventually come to the U.S. as well—Ford is delaying its larger EVs to focus on a series of small, affordable electric models, according to a new report from Bloomberg. The first will be a compact SUV due in late 2026, with a starting price of roughly $25,000 that will target the upcoming entry-level Tesla. This crossover will ride on a new electric platform, and Bloomberg Businessweek says Ford has a team of fewer than 100 people in Irvine, California, working on its development. Along with the SUV, this platform will reportedly spawn a small pickup truck, which could be an electric counterpart to the popular Maverick. The architecture could also lead to a dedicated ride-hailing vehicle, which General Motors had been experimenting with under its autonomous Cruise division and Kia is planning to launch wi
