Meet Honda’s New E:NP2 And E:NS2 Electric Crossovers For China

The debut of Honda’s new youth-focused Ye sub-brand and its trio of concepts might have been the most interesting Honda-related news at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, but the EV updates didn’t stop there. The company unveiled the production versions of the Honda e:NP2 and e:NS2 electric crossovers, along with their sales and production start dates. The e:NP2 and e:NS2 were originally introduced a year ago in Shanghai, albeit in concept form. The production versions that showed up in Beijing look almost identical to the studies with a few toned-down features.

Changes include the more conventional LED graphics, the larger mirror caps, and the slightly smaller wheels.More: Toyota bZ3C And bZ3X To Join China’s Crowded EV MarketThe crossovers share most of their bodywork with the exception of the different bumpers and the unique lighting units on both ends. However, the most important difference is that the e:NP2 comes from GAC Honda, while the e:NS2 is a product of the Dongfeng Honda joint venture. The EVs are similar in size to the Tesla Model Y, measuring 4,788 mm (188.5 inches) long, 1,838 mm (72.4 inches) wide and 1,570 mm (61.8 inches) tall with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm (107.7 inches).Inside, there is a large head-up display and a 12.8-inch infotainment display with China-specific software and the latest connectivity advancements.

There is also an Intelligent Heating System that minimizes power consumption, and an aroma system giving occupants a choice between different fragrances. The twin models ride on the e:N Architecture F underpinnings. They are equipped with a 68.8 kWh battery pack sourced from CATL and a single front-mounted electric motor producing 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS). Honda stated that the e:NP2 boasts a range of 545 km (339 miles) under the CLTC standards, and the e:NS2 is expected to have a similar range.Production of the Honda e:NP2 is already underway, while the Honda e:NS2 will follow in June 2024.
