SEAT had its annual press conference today, and while that might not seem relevant for the United States, it actually is. The spin-off Cupra brand established in 2018 intends to enter North America by the end of the decade. Of all the Volkswagen Group brands not sold here, we had hoped to see Skoda reach this side of the pond but we're getting Cupra instead.

The 2025 Audi Q3 has had a whoopsie while being tested on Europe's icy roads.
BMW will provide a look at the future of its SUV line-up on March 21, when it shows the new Vision Neue Klasse X concept SUV. The German brand confirmed the reveal date on social media with a teaser image showing the car’s side profile, and it has a similar silhouette to the current iX.
Porsche had its annual press conference this week, and apart from announcing the 911 Hybrid, the company also shared the usual dull financial figures. We won't bore you with most of the numbers, but there is one that stood out. In 2023, customers paid on average about €117,000 on their purchase. At current exchange rates, that works out to approximately $127,800.
BYD is looking at serving upwards of 85 percent of the Indian EV market in the next three years, according to G Sanjay, senior vice president, BYD India. The largest electric carmaker in the world today, BYD says it will expand its portfolio in India, with the ramp-up in new models starting with the Seal sedan. Currently one of the most successful and respected cars from the BYD stable, the Tesla Model 3 rival is expected to capture the imagination of EV buyers in India. “There currently are not many EV sedans on sale, and this should work well for us,” says Sanjay.
The Cupra Terramar mid-size family SUV – a twin under the skin to the Audi Q3 – is due in Australian showrooms next year with the expected option of plug-in hybrid power.
