The latest arrival to the luxury Japanese fleet will sit alongside the RX 500h F Sport, RX 350h, RX 350, and RX 350 F Sport, expanding the range of electrified powertrains available for the crossover. In typical Lexus fashion, the model offers a compelling blend of electric and petrol power, promising a silent and efficient commute when driven in electric mode. With careful management of its battery charge, drivers can cover most daily commutes purely on electric power, making it a versatile option for eco-conscious consumers.

Design-wise, the RX 450h+ maintains the distinctive Lexus aesthetic, featuring the brand’s signature spindle body design and grille. The SUV sits on 21-inch rims as standard, while a range of exterior colour options allows for personalization. These include White Quartz, Sonic Titanium, Morello Red, Graphite Black, Opulent Blue, Terrane Khaki, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium and Sonic Copper. The interior features the same level of customizability with 5 colour options to choose from.

Lexus’ New Steering Technology is No Yoke

Under the bonnet, the RX 450h+ combines a high-capacity lithium-ion battery with dual electric motors and a 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder engine, delivering a combined output of 227 kW. With an estimated electric driving range of 66.5 km, it offers impressive fuel efficiency, with emissions as low as 29 g of CO2 per kilometre and an achievable 1.3 L/100 km in a combined cycle. It is no slouch either, with a 0-10 km/h sprint time achievable in 6.5 seconds.

Charging the RX 450h+ can be done with both Mode 2 and Mode 3 charging cables. A full charge can be achieved in as little as 2.7 hours using a Mode 3 cable, making it suitable for both home and public charging stations. Moving back to the interior, the RX 450h+ boasts a range of luxury features, including semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats, a panoramic glass roof, and a 14-inch
