Koenigsegg Gemera's Designer Pens Aftermarket Wheels For Entire Tesla Lineup

Unplugged Performance has revealed the UP-05 — a lineup of aftermarket wheels created for the entire Tesla lineup, specifically the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y.

The UP-05 is a collaborative effort between Unplugged Performance and Sasha Selipanov, Koenigsegg's former head of design responsible for the Gemera hyper GT's exterior and interior styling. He was also the main design point person behind the CC850, which followed his stints as head of exterior design for Bugatti and chief designer for Genesis, respectively.

As the founder of Hardline27, Selipanov's first collaboration with Unplugged Performance was for the Cybertruck, designing the first aftermarket wheels for the electric truck before its long-awaited launch last year.

Unplugged Performance claims that the UP-05 was designed to «infuse Teslas with hypercar DNA,» referencing Selipanov's previous works. Made from 6061-T6 forged aluminum, the Y-spoked UP-05 weighs only 19 pounds and can be used with OEM Tesla center caps, lug nuts, and TPMS sensors for easy installation.

This wheel is the perfect fusion of hypercar design DNA paired with UP's [renowned] performance and durability found on all UP forged wheels,» said Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance.

The Tesla-focused tuning company said the UP-05 passed rigorous testing to ensure rigidity and performance for track and daily use. The wheels also have knurled wheel beads in the barrel to reduce tire slipping during aggressive acceleration.

Unplugged Performance offers various UP-05 sizes, ranging from 18 to 22 inches, to ensure fitment and compatibility with Tesla vehicle owners' preferences and driving styles. The rims are available in four colors: Satin Titanium, Satin Black, Gloss Black, and Satin Bronze. Custom finishes are also available for those who don't want their rims off the shelf.

A set of four UP-05 wheels starts at $3,595. The most expensive set costs $6,595, a 22-inch set with a custom finish for the Model X. Of note, the UP-05 is compatible with all model years of Model X, Y, and 3 —
