First-Ever Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Up For Grabs

Porsche Cayman GT4 RS VIN 001 has appeared for sale with 3,454 miles on the clock, and it's being offered in Dallas, Texas. This example appears to be finished in Guards Red and has a black interior, as well as the Weissach Package, which cost $13,250 new and added exposed carbon fiber exterior elements, including the front trunk lid, the wing mirror caps, and the rear wing. It also added titanium exhaust pipes, an exposed carbon fiber air box, a Race-Tex-upholstered dashboard, and the obligatory 'Weissach RS' embroidered logos. The package also required buyers to add a leather and Race-Tex upholstery package for $2,160.

But despite spending so much on this suite of upgrades, the owner of the first-ever Cayman GT4 RS kept ticking boxes. Please note that the images included here are press photos since the images on the listing are in low resolution.

Also evident are ceramic composite brakes, an $8,000 option, and 20-inch forged magnesium wheels. These could only be ordered if the Weissach Package was selected, so it makes sense to add them, even at a cost of $15,640. With a base price of $141,700, the addition of these features would have brought the total beyond $180,000. A fully loaded model with custom paint and all the options can cost Turbo S money, exceeding $200k.

Despite the fact that the mileage proves this car was enjoyed before being put up for sale, the condition is excellent, with no signs of serious wear on the seats or other major touchpoints. With that in mind, it's no surprise that this car is selling for more than it would have when new.

The price is listed at $219,900, and we think that's a reasonable amount given the quality of car we're talking about and its overall condition. In the middle of the car is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine borrowed from the epic 911 GT3, sending 493 horsepower to the rear wheels. Porsche claims a 0-60 mph time of 3.2 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 11.3 seconds, and a top speed of 196 mph.

It's also achieved a Nurburgring time of 7:09.300 over the 12.944-mile course and a time of 7:04.511 on the shorter 12.8-mile stretch. A truly remarkable car indeed and one that is sure to become an appreciating
