Stellantis has unveiled its unibody STLA Large platform, touted for its unmatched flexibility and BEV architecture, that will underpin an array of upcoming D and E segment vehicles.

Following the unveiling of the STLA Medium last July 2023, Stellantis has revealed the STLA Large platform — the second of the four global BEV platforms for the brand's next-gen cars. This unibody platform will underpin a wide array of full-size models in the D and E segments, aiming to launch eight models by 2026.
Hot on the heels of a Jeep Wagoneer S teaser and photos of the prototype next-generation Dodge Charger (or Challenger), comes a reveal and details of what will likely underpin both of them: the STLA Large platform. It's one of multiple Stellantis flexible architectures that will be the basis of its upcoming electric cars, and apparently internal combustion ones, too.

Stellantis will be working with BlackBerry on a new virtual cockpit they believe will allow for faster development and lower production costs. The system, which is part of the company’s Virtual Engineering Workbench, is designed to replicate automotive controls using Amazon Web Services’ data cloud and is supposed to reduce development turnaround cycles by “up to 100 times.” The stated goal is to ensure new infotainment tech is created and then pushed to the public quickly and efficiently.
Blackberry, champion of on-the-go email senders everywhere, is back. Well, sort of.
