The wild Callum Skye electric-off roader is the first car to bear the name of legendary designer and company founder Ian Callum.
Say hello to the Callum Skye, a multi-terrain electric vehicle created by the gifted designer Ian Callum of Aston Martin DB7 and Vanquish fame. He's also the man who penned the original Jaguar F-Type.
Ian Callum’s design studio presented their first model as a standalone brand. Don’t expect a traditional sportscar however, as the Callum Skye is a high-performance multi-terrain vehicle with exposed wheels, a 2+2 cabin, and a fully electric powertrain. The Callum Skye with its unconventional buggy-style appearance is designed to tackle “meandering roads, grassy paddocks, crisp gravel tracks, pristine sand or snow-clad landscapes”.
The reborn British engineering firm TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) announced more details about the first model of its new era, following last month’s teaser. It turns out that the “bespoke high-performance automobile” will be based on the Jaguar XJS. This sounds a lot like a comprehensive restomod project, which will most likely be available in limited numbers. In the wake of the new project, renowned designer and collector Magnus Walker joined TWR as a Design Consultant, and will be involved in the development process.
