BYD Seal EV Launched In India, Prices Start From Rs 41 Lakh

The Seal electric sedan is available in three variants: Dynamic Range, Premium Range and Performance

The premium electric car space in India has just become more diverse, with an electric sedan: the BYD Seal. Bookings for the EV have already been open since February 27 for Rs 1 lakh both online and at BYD’s dealerships. The EV maker is offering the Seal in three broad variants: Dynamic Range, Premium Range, and Performance.

The Seal is available with two battery packs and three powertrain options in total, with both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) setups on offer.

Its smaller battery pack supports 110 kW DC fast charging, while the larger battery pack can support up to 150 kW.

What Tech Does It Get?

Features on board the electric sedan include a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, heated and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic glass roof.

Its safety net comprises eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, and auto emergency braking.
