BMW M4 GT3 and M Hybrid V-8 Race Cars Transformed into Lego Sets

  • Lego has released a new 676-piece set that includes the 2024 BMW M4 GT3 and 2024 BMW M Hybrid V-8 race cars.
  • Along with kits for the Ford Mustang Dark Horse and Audi S1 e-tron Quattro, the new BMW set is part of Lego's 2024 lineup of Speed Champion builds.
  • As part of the Speed Champions catalog, the BMW set is cheaper than larger Technic builds and costs $44.99.

Lego's newest Speed Champions set features models of the 2024 BMW M4 GT3 and 2024 BMW M Hybrid V-8 race cars along with a set of mini-figurines with race suits and race helmets. Since most of us will never have the money to buy a real GT3-level race car, let alone a hypercar, this kit serves as a fun consolation prize until we can get those pesky lotto numbers to hit.

Lego BMWs

The Speed Champions lineup from Lego, including this new BMW set, focuses on smaller, more affordable sets than the huge and intricate Technic builds such as the 3778-piece Ferrari Daytona SP3, which carries a nearly $400 price tag. The BMW set features 676 pieces and comes with the pieces to build out each race car along with a set of mini figurine drivers to go with them. The cars measure 2.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches long, and 2.5 inches wide, making them the perfect size for a bookshelf or a desktop.

Like most of the other Speed Champion builds, the new BMW set is based on real-life race cars. Both the M4 GT3 and the M Hybrid V-8 compete around the globe in endurance races like the 12 Hours of Sebring or the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The M4 GT3 race cars are capped at around 550 horsepower, while prototype cars like the M Hybrid V-8 are allotted closer to 650 horsepower.
