2024 Nissan X-Trail N-Trek price: Off-road-themed variant coming to Australia

The 2024 Nissan X-Trail family SUV has gained a new N-Trek variant with rugged-looking styling, due in showrooms later this month.

Priced at a $3600 premium over the ST-L on which it is based, the X-Trail N-Trek adds a new lower front bumper design, LED front fog lights, unique 18-inch alloy wheel design, and a gloss black finish for the door handles, mirror caps and roof rails.

There is also a gunmetal grey finish for the faux front skid plate, plus a dark surround for the upper front grille – normally exclusive to the e-Power hybrid variants. On other petrol-only Nissan X-Trails, the grille surround is chrome.

The N-Trek is available in Gun Metallic, Champagne Silver, Ivory Pearl, Diamond Black and Ceramic Grey single-tone paint, with Ivory Pearl, Champagne Silver and Ceramic Grey available with a black contrast roof.

Inside, there is a new synthetic leather-look seat material with «water-resistant,» while a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.8-inch head-up display are added from more expensive model grades.

There are no changes to the 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in Australia, which develops 135kW and 244Nm, matched with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

The N-Trek is available with five seats and front-wheel drive for $47,290 plus on-road costs, or seven seats and all-wheel drive for $50,390 plus on-road costs – each $3600 more than the regular ST-L.

First Australian showroom arrivals of the 2024 Nissan X-Trail N-Trek are due this month, the company says.
