2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire: What It May Get Over The New Swift

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is set to launch soon, following the recent launch of the fourth-generation Swift in India. The new Dzire has been seen testing several times, giving us a glimpse of its updates inside and out. Here’s a list of features and changes that are expected to get over the Swift:

New Look

As the sedan counterpart to the new Swift hatchback, the Dzire is expected to share a similar design language but with redesigned grille inserts, new alloys and, obviously, an extended boot. Fresh Interiors

It will retain the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system but will adorn different trim used in the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels.

As per the previous spy shots, it will get a segment-first single-pane sunroof for the top-spec variants. Additionally, the Dzire is expected to offer connected car tech, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, automatic AC with rear vents, cruise control, push-button start/stop, and a height-adjustable driver seat. For safety, it will include six airbags (likely to be standard), ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill-hold assist, and possibly a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain

The Dzire will use the same 1.2-litre Z series 3-cylinder petrol engine (82 PS/112 Nm) as the Swift, considering they will be based on the same platform. It is expected to come with both 5-speed manual and an AMT automatic transmission options. A CNG powertrain option may also be available later upon its launch.

With these additions, the Swift Dzire is anticipated to be well packaged with features loaded to the brim and offering great value-for-money variant options. We expect the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire to be launched at an introductory price of around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival other compact sedans in the
