The Jiyue 07 electric liftback from Geely and Baidu was officially unveiled in China. It received the iF Design Award 2023 and became the Red Dot 2023 car design winner. This sedan will enter the Chinese market in 2024. Previously, we assumed it would be called Jiyue 02. It stands on Geely’s SEA architecture and adopts self-driving tech from Baidu.

During any routine pit stop, their combination of skill, precision, and coordination allows them to swap four heavy wheels and tires in just a couple of seconds. It takes me longer to put a socket on a single lug. One of the reasons pit crews are so good is their muscle memory, which allows them to swap wheels with their eyes closed. Literally. The Oracle Red Bull Racing pit crew has achieved one of the most impressive feats of teamwork we've ever seen by servicing an RB14 in total darkness. In other words, the crew could not see the car during the pit stop. They were literally operating blind, and yet they were still quicker than most F1 teams could complete the same in race conditions in broad daylight, completing the pit stop in total darkness in just 2.84 seconds — only a second slower than the outright record for the fastest stop.
Okay, it’s a weird record, but it’s easy enough to imagine how the idea came about. Pit stops are a crucial part of Formula 1, and shaving tenths off a car’s stationary time can mean the difference between winning and losing, which is why F1 teams practice them over and over again.

It's been a while since Fiat first announced that the iconic 500 would return to America, but we now have a bit more information on the 2024 Fiat 500e that's set to go on sale on our shores. Fiat confirmed that the first units coming here will be this (RED) special-edition model, and said that these will be available to order for those who sign up for the FiatPass digital collectible online.
