The expedition entered Zimbabwe, meeting at Mutare before embarking on an off-road drive to Mutarazi Falls with local media and Nissan employees, and then continuing to Harare. Taruvinga highlighted the unique position of Nissan’s operations in Zimbabwe, with four accredited Nissan Sales Companies dominating the market.

Linda Mazimhaka, Nissan Africa Regional General Manager, emphasized the importance of Zimbabwe’s operations within Nissan Africa, especially in showcasing the strength of the Navara model. Taruvinga expressed the delight of the accredited Nissan Sales Companies in hosting this leg of the expedition, which also serves as a tribute to Nissan’s nearly 60-year presence in Zimbabwe. The journey symbolizes a new chapter in Nissan’s legacy of light commercial vehicles in the country.

“Our first showroom was opened in 1967 and it is a privilege to welcome the latest heirs to an incredibly proud LCV legacy in our country. The Navara is a new chapter to this story, and I think that this journey is proving to everyone what we have known all along about this special vehicle,” said Taruvinga.
