Max Verstappen stayed firmly on course for another season of dominance in Formula 1 on Saturday by winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — Ferrari has a new British driver, and it isn't Lewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen's father Jos isn't known for being quiet or flying under the radar. Still, even for someone with his reputation, his comments on the Christian Horner fiasco have unnecessarily put his Formula 1 champion son in a hard spot. Steering clear of any drama was no longer an option after Jos essentially threw a Molotov cocktail inside Red Bull Racing's motorhome last weekend, pointing the finger at Horner.
The old Vantage Formula 1 Safety Car was as slow as a turtle, according to reigning champion Max Verstappen. Aston Martin is now addressing the lack of pace with the next-generation model that gets a massive boost in output of 153 hp for a grand total of 656 hp. We'll see it this coming weekend at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix where it'll be joined by the DBX707 F1 Medical Car.
I don't want to draw more attention to Formula 1's maiden race of 2024, but the truth is that the Bahrain Grand Prix was a snoozefest. Not just because of Max Verstappen's predictable domination, but because there just wasn't anything else to pay attention to during the 90-minute race. Maybe the fact Ferrari totally ignored Sainz's success? Maybe.
